Joinery Basics, Thursday | 9/4/26, 2pm - 6pm
In this class we'll go over two classic types of traditional woodworking joinery: Dovetails and mortise and tenons. We will be discussing a mostly hand tool approach to each - although we'll use a few machine tools (and discuss pros and cons to each approach). But this class is very much a hand tool skill-building class. Our "Intro to Hand Tools" class isn't a pre-requisite but is suggested if you aren't very familiar with using hand tools. Basic shop and power tool experience is highly recommended. Each student will make their own joint and take it home as reference for continued practice.
CANCELATION/ REFUND POLICY: All deposits are non-refundable. For classes paid in full, a refund or credit will be provided to you, so long as notice is given via email, at least two weeks prior to the class date. Although it rarely occurs, sometimes a class doesn't reach the minimum attendance bar. If attendance isn't met 1 week prior to the class date, the class will be canceled and you will be notified. You will be given the option of either a refund or credit for another class.
